ProofVault is intended for people aged 16 and over. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly allow anyone under 13 to create an account. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use it only with a parent or guardian’s permission.

ProofVault may be used only on a device you own or control, for your own safety and record-keeping. Using it to monitor, track or record another person without their knowledge is prohibited and may be illegal.

Consent and notification requirements for audio and video recording vary by jurisdiction. You are solely responsible for ensuring each recording you make is lawful.

ProofVault computes a SHA-256 hash at capture time so later tampering can be detected, and records a chain-of-custody log. This supports, but does not guarantee, admissibility. Whether material is accepted as evidence is decided by the relevant authority or court.

ProofVault helps you contact people you have chosen and prepares emergency calls in your phone’s dialler. It does not place calls automatically and is not a substitute for calling your local emergency number.

Recordings are stored on your device. Uninstalling the app, clearing browser storage or device failure can permanently remove data that has not been backed up or exported. Cloud backup is optional and provided without warranty of continuous availability.

These terms may be updated as the app evolves. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
